Rebirth of the Natty Dresser
Lately I have been enjoying how some young men are reclaiming what had become stodgy, conservative items of menswear--fedoras or bowlers, suit jackets and vests, etc.--in their own idiosyncratic way. Today's example: a fellow about 17-19 years old, short hair, wearing a comfortably broken-in black suit complete with pocket square... and bright blue Converse sneakers.
Somehow it was the pocket square that really gave it that distinctive notch. Eccentricity but also attention to detail! I like it. And the fact that the suit was broken in and the ease with which he wore it clearly showed that it was his typical fashion choice, not something for special occasion.
